New: Push notifications in the Secusoft app

We have great news for all our users: Push notifications in the Secusoft app! Useful to be quickly informed when a message is ready for you, or to confirm an hourly notification or wake-up notification. This feature was a frequently heard wish that we have now been able to realize for our users.

You`ve probably heard it before: you want to check the Secusoft inbox to see if new shifts have been added to your schedule, but just then you receive an app or a funny video. A moment later you put your phone away without checking your inbox. It happens to the best sometimes. You will now automatically receive a notification from Secusoft when a message is ready for you. This way you can continue working quietly, and when your new schedule has been published, or when the employer expects a sign of life through the hourly notification, you will automatically receive a notification via a push message on your phone!

How does activating push notifications work in the Secusoft app?

When logging in to the Secusoft app, it is checked whether the device ID, which is the unique device identification number of the phone, is already linked to the account. If this is not the case, the app will display a screen showing the link. Here you can indicate that you want to receive push notifications. Now that the connection has been made, you will automatically receive a notification on your phone when a message is ready for you. To read a full message, you must first log in with your username and password for security reasons. To confirm an hourly notification, clicking on the button is sufficient.

As an employer, how do I send push notifications to employees?
As an employer, it is nice to know that messages you prepare for employees are read on time. You have the choice of sending notifications via email, SMS or WhatsApp, and the option to send push notifications has now been added.
Once you have published the schedule, you can send a message to all employees who are scheduled in Secusoft with one click. From now on there is also the option: `Send via push notification`. Extra useful: If you check this, you can see at a glance which employees have enabled this option on their phone.

Another great advantage; Sending (and receiving) push messages is free of charge. Just like sending email, you use your internet connection. If you also want to send messages via SMS or WhatsApp, you can use the connection with MessageBird (for SMS) or Twilio for WhatsApp and voice calls. What can you use the Secusoft push notifications feature for?

Currently, you can use the feature to send notifications regarding:

• New message
• New services in the schedule
• Ready hour notification
• Wake-up message that needs to be confirmed
• 
  

Although the possibilities with push notifications seem to be endless, every adjustment to Secusoft requires the necessary time and attention from our development team. We have therefore first activated the push options for the above functions and will eventually investigate whether there are more functions for which push notifications are required.
